What is Remote Design?
Remote design is any design work done through the use of technology. Whether you are 20 miles or 2000 miles away, we can assist you with your design needs. 
What Design Services does SBD offer Remote clients?
Like all new clients, Remote Design begins with the Initial Consultation. We will have a video conference via FaceTime or Zoom so you can give your designer a tour of your space and get to know each other. We offer all services within the Reference Package. Please review them on the Package and Pricing Page.  Additional services may be requested and discussed. In addition, hourly consultation is also available to you as you go shopping or have questions on-site during construction.
What does the Remote Client need to do that the Local Client doesn't? 
The tricky part about being a remote client is that we can't measure your space or provide you with samples in person. As a remote client, you will have to do more leg work. You will need to provide us with full measurements and photos of your space, and you will also need to check out your local suppliers and installers for finish options along the lines of the ones we suggest. We are happy to ship you samples for an extra fee. 
Do Remote Clients need special technology to work with SBD? 
As long as you have a smart phone and/or computer with a printer you should be fine. All of the documents we send you will be standard pdf or jpeg files printable on a typical home computer. Smart phones are handy to take pictures in real time and send them to us. But they are not required as long as you have a way to take pictures and email them to us.
