Projects range from design-only consultation to full-service design, construction, or furniture projects with project documents, install, styling, and home organization.
Job Description: SBD is looking for an experienced Interior Designer ready to dive right into active design and construction jobs. We are looking for individuals with formal design education or equivalent experience as an interior design/draftsman or project manager. New hires will be shadowing the principal designer to learn the SBD way of design but will quickly be expected to take on construction site visits, sample procurement, client meetings, project document creation, purchasing, and installation on their own. This part-time to full-time position will require individuals to work Monday-Friday. Hourly or salary pay will be based on experience and education.
Applicant Requirements: - Formal design education (2 year minimum) or equivalent experience in design or construction field - Understanding of construction, cabinetry, and design theory - Experience in managing projects and working with clients - Experience working with trade-only furnishing and finishes companies - Willing to start part time with potential advancement to full time - Highly punctual and organized - Top notch communication skills - On the spot problem solving - Hard working and efficient - always looking for ways to lend a hand - Hand sketching and rendering not required but helpful - Photography and marketing experience not require but helpful - Software Knowledge: Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel are a must. AutoCad drafting proficiency preferred - Social Media Knowledge: Facebook and Instagram
