Hickory Residence

For some, getting the right neutrals and coordinating a new color scheme with your same furniture is a challenge. The great thing is, paint is relatively cheap. For this client, they moved into a new home with existing finishes that didn't blend. There was this fight with old world and modern. My job was to create a design that would incorporate a favorite glass art piece and make small adjustments to change the feel of the space. I chose to clean up the fireplace with a fresh coat of paint on the mantel and tile. Then I suggested more of the warm grey tones, a change out on the window treatments, and more jewel tone accessories. The clients then had  a clean palette to add furniture and lighting as their budget allowed.

At this point, I refinished the fireplace while the owner installed new window treatments, hung up the stained glass inspiration piece, and purchased new accessories to fit in the color scheme.
